The purpose of the Shuswap Music Festival is to provide an opportunity for amateur and/or young performing artists to demonstrate their achievements in music to their peers and to the community.

PROVINCIAL/NATIONAL STANDARDS, REQUIREMENTS AND PARTICIPATION
Top performers from the festival as chosen by the adjudicators will be recommended for the Performing Arts BC annual festival. For more or detailed information about Provincial Festival standards and requirements, and the festival's syllabus check the
